In-Print 2017® Contest Winners
The In-print Awards are a contest jointly sponsored by IPMA and In-Plant Graphics Magazine, and is the only printing contest exclusively for in-plants.
On March 14, 2016, a panel of expert judges assembled at the IPMA Headquarters in Kearney, MO to choose the winners of this contest. The judges included:
Christopher Donlon (Awards Chair) – Kohler Company
Paul Ackerman – Blue Valley School District #229
Marcia Doll – University of Missouri, retired
Ben Fowler – Shelter Insurance Companies
Nathan Thole – Iowa State University
In addition to the judges, Bob Neubauer of In-Plant Graphics and Jennifer Chambers of IPMA were present to oversee the judging. Larry Clements of Redlands Community College, served as a stand-in judge and was the official photographer for the winning pieces in which the plaques will be made.
Numerous great entries were submitted; we received a total of 415 entries from 64 different companies. After closely reviewing all the submissions for 10 hours, we were able to select Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Judges’ Choice winners. Here are the full lists of winners by company and category.
There were a total of 33 different in-plant Winners with 65 winning pieces of which 27 were Gold. In addition to the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, six Judges’ Choice awards were given and 2 Best of Show winners!
The overall top winners were:

University of Oklahoma – 6 total wins
Bloomberg LP – 5 total wins
World Bank – 5 total wins
Yale University – 4 total wins
Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield – 3 total wins
University of California-Davis – 3 total wins
Church of Scientology – 3 total wins
We will also be revealing the Best of Show winners in both the offset and non-offset categories. The winners will be announced after the dinner portion of the Awards Banquet at our 2017 Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, PA on Tuesday, June 13th.
