It’s always educational to watch the process of taking wood chips and making pulp and finally paper. Inland Empire has been gracious enough to invite our attendees to check it out on Thursday morning of our conference. Be sure to sign up for this informative tour. Space is limited.”
Inland Empire Paper Company
Inland Empire Paper has been supplying exception paper products since 1911. While Inland Empire Paper has a long history, it has one of the more modern pulp & paper mills in the USA. Inland Empire’s single paper machine was new in 2002 and a new thermomechanical pulp (TMP) mill was added in 2009. Inland Empire Paper is fully integrated as it owns over 120,000 acres of forestlands in northeast Washington and northern Idaho. Wood chips from our forestland are one of the raw materials used in making paper as well as residual chips from local saw mills, and recovered paper sourced through our Fiber Reclaim division. As part of our modernization efforts, Inland Empire Paper has reduced its greenhouse gas (CO2 equivalent) generation by 65% on an average annual basis. Inland Empire Paper produces newsprint, commercial printing and packaging grades serving all 50 states and Canada from our location in greater Spokane, WA
