Messiah College celebrated In-Plant Awareness month by launching its new mass e-mail program for internal communications. The program was a joint effort between Messiah’s in-plant and IT department to replace a 25-year-old outdated system.
The new system allows employees and students to submit announcements and promotions such as:
- Parking lot closures,
- Lecture and concert announcements,
- Registration for events,
- Dining hall menus.
It also includes a permissions/authorization/approval structure.
As part of the college’s In-Plant Awareness week, In-plant personnel conducted training sessions February 26 and 27 in Messiah’s campus theater where they demonstrated the system to Messiah employees.
