IPMA’s Peer-to-Peer Marketplace– the insourcing portal for IPMA members.
March 2, 2020
Kearney, MO –The In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) launched its newest members-only benefit—the IPMA Peer-to-Peer Marketplace. Part of the umbrella of offerings in IPMA’s members only Community, it provides an insourcing portal for IPMA members.
The Peer-to-Peer Marketplace lets member in-plants offering insourced services share information about these services with IPMA peers and solicit their business. It can help members fill capacity on their current equipment and may allow them to add equipment, software and solutions if the market dictates, possibly letting the in-plant offer new and/or additional services to their parent institution.
It also allows in-plants searching for services that they don’t provide but need on a temporary basis to find IPMA member institutions that may provide a solution. Plus members can find services and products from peer in-plants that can be purchased at possibly lower rates than current suppliers.
The Peer-to-Peer Marketplace also provides in-plants evaluating equipment, solutions, software and services to find contacts for references from IPMA members who currently use them via equipment listings.
Mike Loyd, Executive Director IPMA said, “The IPMA Peer to Peer Marketplace is another of our plans to have in-plants be able to support other in-plants. If you are going to purchase printing and mailing services any way, why not consider a colleague? You will help them fill their excess capacity, and still get your product at a cost-effective price in a timely manner. We are all about helping each other through networking, references and advice. Now, you can supplement your internal product portfolio offering printing and mailing services to each other. It is a win-win for the service provider and those purchasing those services.”
