Kearney, MO – The In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) is thrilled to announce Father Flanagan’s Boys Home has received IPMA’s 2019 In-House Promotional Excellence Award. They will be honored at the Awards Banquet during the IPMA Educational Conference, June 2-6, 2019, in Louisville, KY.
“The In-House Promotional Excellence award is not only prestigious but a great way to share what works with other IPMA members. Boys Town Print Shop is honored to have been recognized for the award and delighted to share our idea.
In 2018, the Boys Town Print Shop started saying “Happy Birthday” to our co-workers and rewarding them with a free personalized notepad (if they signed into our online ordering system). As a result, the Print Shop more than tripled the number of its online users.
We guessed that a personalize notepad would encourage a few employees to become online users. But it worked so well, we thought it was an idea that was worth sharing.
Wishing our employees a Happy Birthday is also a great morale booster. It lets each employee know that he or she plays an important role in Boys Town’s mission to save children, heal families and strengthen communities, and that by helping to change lives for the better at Boys Town, we are all helping to change the world,” said Douglas Larsen, Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home.
